Tea & Biscuits is a digital stamp plus artistic coloring kit featuring Amy Shulke’s original food illustration line art.

What is artistic coloring?

Artistic coloring is the step beyond standard color blending with alcohol markers. Instead of using trendy techniques, Amy’s students learn to use photo references to guide color choices and incorporate realistic, lifelike texture. We paint with markers and pencils.

This Tea & Biscuits Artistic Coloring Kit was originally part of The Underpainters membership community in February 2022. As part of the advanced independent coloring group, each month, students receive a new challenge image plus a guidebook full of helpful learning aids, annotated photo references, and process pics. Students then challenge themselves to complete the image assignment independently using a medium and colors of their choice.

This package includes all the original materials given to The Underpainters. Sorry, this package does not include project feedback from Amy; critiques are exclusive to community members.

Tea & Biscuits is ideal for coloring with Copic or other alcohol marker, colored pencil, or watercolor.

Amy’s sample project was colored with Copic Markers plus a combination of Prismacolor Premier and Derwent Lightfast pencils. It was colored on Fabriano Artistico Extra White 140lb Hot Press Watercolor Paper.
