Alcohol marker blending technique often results in cartoonish and flat images. Light-medium-dark combinations do not look realistic. In this free video series, illustrator Amy Shulke shares her color theory process to color with realistic and dimensional Copic Marker colors.

TIP: Make mistakes. Experiment!
Too many colorers get caught up in perfectionism. If you’re always worried about the outcome, you’ll never have time to think clearly about the colors you’re using and how well they are working (or not working).
