Sometimes all you can do is close your eyes and wish for a tropical beach vacation.
It’s been one of those weeks. I’ve spent most of it online with tech support for the livestreams, Amazon Canada… because Canada is Canada, and a lovely day long session with customer support after a credit card company I don’t even use helped themselves to my Teachable account.
Sigh.
Then I cracked a molar and I’m scheduled for oral surgery next week.
I may need to paint my doorway with lamb’s blood…
Hang tight folks. I’ll be back to Color Theory as soon as I can… assuming an anvil doesn’t fall on my head.
NEW VIDEO
NOTE: I’m trying something new here and I haven’t heard any complaints so far… this video is embedded, so you can watch it here instead of linking to YouTube. If it does’t work, click here to watch it there.

FOREVER PINK
“Cherry Blossom” is the April project in Color Wonk.
Due to the unexpected popularity of my Pink Problem video at YouTube, I’ve hurried out the a’ la carte, single purchase, non-membership version of the lesson.
Cherry Blossom is an intermediate level workshop which includes everything from the Wonk version except the livestream is now a recording and there’s no Wonk Forum access.
And yes, this is the Forever Access version. You can color it again next year and in 2027 and in 2042 and 2051…
FOREVER SPRING TOO!
After multiple requests, I’m also bringing back the first Color Wonk projects. This is a new format, pairing similar themes in what I’m calling a Class Duo. Two, two, two classes in one!
PRODUCT OF THE WEEK:
Not-Water-Waterbrush
A few of you asked about the waterbrush I showed in a livestream last week.
IMPORTANT! READ CAREFULLY! My waterbrush contains Copic Colorless Blender Solution.
Colorless blender will eat through the plastic parts of most waterbrushes and create a slimy melted mess in your desk drawer. Sometimes it melts the exterior, sometimes it melts the sponge or gasket, sometimes it melts the bristles— but they all melt.
The ONLY brand I’ve found which works with colorless blender is the Ranger waterbrush. I know it costs more than the Koi and a lot more than off-brand brushes… but they all melt. And don’t pay extra for the fancier ones made by watercolor companies— they melt faster!
Ranger. It’s gotta be the Ranger. After about 6 years, it does finally get brittle and die but that’s after 6 years of total bliss. It’s worth it.
Remember, when you shop using my link above, any Amazon purchase over the next 24 hours supports the free content here and at YouTube.
